It was a great event for the Albury Diving Club with its two competitors medalling at the titles at Orange.
Emily had to be content with silver and bronze in the under 14-15 one and three-metre springboard, finishing behind former Albury diver Eliza Carrie who competes for Hunter.
Albury’s other diver, Maggie Power took home the bronze in the 11-12 age group in the one-metre springboard.
Diving coach John Percy said the competition was top line.
“Emily finished her one-metre with a score of 201.75 — above the qualifying score for the Australian Age Nationals of 195,” he said.
“She also only just missed out on a qualifier for the three-metre springboard event.
“Maggie, too, wasn’t far off a qualifier.”
Percy said the girls would tackle other events to qualify for the nationals in Brisbane in April.
