Re-seeding of grounds in Wodonga and the unavailability of pitches in Albury next weekend has forced the NPL club to look to the Ovens Valley for a suitable surface for their entry into Australia’s FA Cup equivalent at round four.
United will play the winner of the round three clash between state league sides Morwell Pegasus or Beaumaris today.
Technical director Paul Millynn said it won’t be an automatic victory.
“These teams will be high quality and a real test — you can’t take anything for granted,” he said.
Should United win it will have to survive another three knockout rounds before reaching the point where the A-League sides enter the competition.
