Boom recruit Angus Graham and Setanta and Aisake O’hAilpin will play in the Tigers’ final hit-out before facing Myrtleford in round 1, with co-coach Daniel Maher saying yesterday he was keen to see the trio in action.
“It will be good to see them out there,” he said.
“We want to get some structures in place and this is the first opportunity we have had to do so.
“It will be a reasonably strong side and playing a good team like Benalla is what you want going into the season.”
Henty recruit Ryan Hon will play his first match for Albury after recovering from injury.
Originally of Benalla, Maher said he had little inside information on his former club.
“I do but I don’t,” he said. “I probably know more about these blokes’ fathers.
“They showed us some real intensity last year in a practice match and I’m pretty sure they beat us in the finish.”
