He estimated a crowd of between 1500 and 2000 people watched Tallangatta prevail over East Albury.
“I think it was great for cricket,” he said.
“My son goes to uni in Melbourne and went to the pub with a group of mates from the Border and listened to the game on the radio.
Credit too, to the Wodonga Council and Wdonga Cricket Club — the ground was immaculate and they have certainly set the benchmark for other clubs looking to host the grand final.
We will make a decision on the venue each February but clubs now know where the bar is.”
