The woman, in her 50s, had been on a guided ride to Falls Creek when her bike slipped on some gravel at 10.15am.
She veered off Lockharts Gap Road, missing a car and struck the trees, causing serious leg and shoulder injuries.
Senior-Constable Paul Marshall, of Wodonga highway patrol, said the group have been very well organised.
“She had boots, leather pants and the proper jacket, which probably saved her from a lot worse injuries,” he said.
“She has only broken bones, she isn’t getting skin grafts — the healing process would have been a lot harder.”
The woman was taken to Albury hospital by ambulance.
