It will be an investment in the future now Albury has proven itself capable of hosting a game of such calibre, not only at short notice but on a busy holiday weekend when many who might have been in the crowd had other engagements for Easter.
The game brought other benefits by way of those who visited the city for the match and stayed, in terms of accommodation and meal expenditure.
A little more sunshine would also not have gone amiss on Saturday afternoon.
Now the NRL and the clubs are aware of the interest and the facilities in the region, there is every chance the Border will get another opportunity to host a competition game and build further on crowd numbers.
