LAKE Hume: Over the Easter weekend some of the fishermen did well and some nice redfin were caught and taken home for an enjoyable meal, but you have to look for them and with the lake at 21 per cent there is not much water to get around, so get your baits and lures in the water and see how you go.

Well, how did you go over Easter, did you get some fish and did you get a good photo of that fish? If so, send it in. The kids are sending their photos in so they have a chance of winning The Hook trophy, and yes, kids, I just picked up the trophy — the photo of it will be in the paper soon.
Mitta River: Some nice trout were caught at the weekend as a lot of fishermen were camping along the river. The fish were caught with fly, baits and lures. The river is up again so take care.
Kiewa River: What a nice trout caught in the river at the weekend (above). Yes, that girl can fish and would live on the river if she could — go get them Olivia. Down the river, cod are still being caught with baits and spinnerbaits and up at Mount Beauty in the pondage it has been stocked with 1000 (small) brown trout and 500 big rainbow trout, so get up there and have a fish before they let the water out again.
