It was about 8pm on January 5 and Garry Mizzi was in line to order food when his brother arrived.
They lunged at each other and started throwing punches in front of the service counter.
They ended up on the ground fighting and Gary Mizzi’s partner, Deborah Chrystal Frame, intervened.
Another woman entered the restaurant and pulled Frame away.
The two women started throwing punches and pulling each other’s hair while the two men kept fighting on the floor.
The fight lasted about 40 seconds and the two men left separately soon afterwards.
About 10 minutes later, police pulled over a vehicle in Griffith Road which was being driven by Frame, who mentioned she had been involved in a fight at McDonalds.
Officers later spoke to Shawn Mizzi, who told police they were brothers and had been fighting.
Police obtained closed circuit footage and spoke to staff who witnessed the fight.
The footage showed them fighting for a short period and people moving away to avoid them.
Shawn Mizzi, 31, of Prune Street, Lavington, pleaded guilty in Albury Local Court to an affray charge.
Magistrate Tony Murray said Mizzi was on parole at the time, ordered a pre-sentence report and adjourned sentencing until May 28.
Frame, 29, has been charged with affray, with her case adjourned until April 28.
Garry Mizzi is on remand in jail after being charged with a series of offences following an alleged drug-fuelled rampage on April 6.
Police documents tendered in court outlined how he barricaded his home, smashed his way into a garden shed through the roof and hid in the master bedroom of a stranger’s house.
It happened after he allegedly took an unknown quantities of prohibited and prescription drugs with his partner, including ice, speed, Xanax and Diazapam.
They had become paranoid, violent, unpredictable and irrational, which had led to bizarre behaviour.
Frame has been granted bail over her alleged involvement in the incident after she was charged by police.
