THE rain held off just long enough for participants to enjoy yesterday’s Milk Run.

The annual Kiewa-Tangambalanga Lions Club family fun run and walk, sponsored by Murray Goulburn, involved a six or 10-kilometre course on the old rail trail across the Sandy Creek bridge.
Organiser Eric Thompson said the event attracted its largest number of participants.
“We had 316 people, which is a 25 per cent increase on last year,” he said.
“A lot of people booked on the day because they were probably waiting to see what the weather would be like.
“We were very blessed with the weather because it rained most of the weekend, cleared up for the event, and then rained again not long after we had finished.”
Money raised, which was still to be counted, would go to charity.
