With the Ovens and Murray heavyweight being hit hard by injuries and player unavailability, Glenn and Brett Page, Ken Howe and Jeremy Masterson were called into action.
Brett Page kicked three goals in the 76-point reserve grade victory.
Tiger co-coach Daniel Maher said the veterans had held their own.
“They did well considering they were probably short of a run,” Maher said.
