That’s the question the North East State Emergency Service wants answered during Flood Safe Week from May 25 to 31.
Every time it floods in Wangaratta, the little guy in Apex Park gets wet and is sometimes submerged.
Some people even say he’s Wangaratta’s unofficial flood gauge.
An SES spokeswoman said just about everybody in the North East, from Harrietville to Yarrawonga, knew about the friendly character but everyone called him by a different name.
“We want to know what people call him,” she said.
An online survey is being taken to discover what most people call him.

Wangaratta’s worst flood was recorded in 1993 when water levels peak at 12.98 metres on the Wangaratta Ovens River flood gauge.
During the flood, the Ovens River, King River and 15 Mile Creek overflowed flooding Wangaratta and costing the region $350 million.
