The Walla Car Show Swap Meet will be back on the Monday of the June long weekend after a three-year hiatus.
It will also include a swap meet for the first time.
Organiser Daniel Nadebaum said the previous organisers, Rod and Leesa Holland, had moved away and the locals were keen to see the event return.
“We have more than 50 swap sites registered so far,” he said.
“There’s also been a lot of interest in the show ’n’ shine that is open to any vehicle of interest, including cars, motorcycles and trucks.”
Walla’s Jerome Scholz will be among those displaying their pride and joy in the show and shine with his 1970 HG Kingswood panel wagon.
“It’s a great car and I have done a lot to it over the years,” he said.
“I’ve had it for 15 years and my dad owned it for about four years prior to that.
“I have sealed the back windows and put metal in there, people say it looks like a hearse.
“I’ve also replaced the engine with a V8.”
Gates open at Walla Sportsground at 7am.
Entry is $5, children under 16 are free.
The cost of a swap site is $15.
Produce, market stalls and collectables are welcome, phone Mr Nadebaum on 0412 187 698.
There will be a licensed bar and the Walla Football and Netball Club will provide catering.
Profits will go to the Walla Football and Netball Club.
