IN reference to Albury Council wanting $450,000 from the Albury – Wodonga Cancer Centre for water and sewerage connection fee, the council should transfer some of the money they charged ratepayers for a default fee for a non-existing green waste service in the years leading up to the service actually being supplied.

That way, the ratepayers would feel they have something to show for the money they have already paid.
If one of our councillors or their family members were touched by cancer, the wharf and boat ramp at the bottom end of Hume Street, which will be out of the water more times than in, it would not seem so important to them.
