And they are the people expected to go to Craft Alive in Wodonga this weekend.
The event, which started yesterday, will cater to anybody with skills in quilting, scrapbooking, embellishment, art and candle making.
Event co-ordinator Tess Gutknecht said craft was becoming more popular amongst the younger generation.
“A lot of grandmothers and mothers are passing their crafts onto the children and a lot more are taking it on these days,” she said.
“Now it’s easy to go and buy everything you need.”
Ms Gutknecht said craft gave people an opportunity to get more hands-on.
“Technology is so instant and there are a lot of screens around,” she said.
“Craft is coming back because you can sit down, relax and create something of your own.”
Organisers hope about 3000 craft lovers will inspect the variety from more than 50 vendors.
Craft Alive is held at Wodonga Leisure Centre today and tomorrow from 10am to 5pm.
Entry costs $10 for adults, $8 for concession and $5 for children.
