HLN will offer the program to participants across the Upper Murray and South-west slopes regions.
The Nutrient Management Program has had great success in encouraging farmers to increase their measuring of soil fertility on their farms and become more effective and efficient with their fertilisers.
The Nutrient Management Program provides an introduction for farmers to soil testing and is centred on a training package which walks farmers through: where and how to take a soil sample, understanding the results and what they mean, and assistance in making management decisions, including the use of decision making tools.
Registrations are open until August 4, and the program begins with soil sampling workshops on August 5, 6 and 7. Soil samples must be delivered by August 28.
Registration forms are available at holbrooklandcare.org.au, or by phoning HLN on 02 6036 3181.
