POOR weather conditions are hampering efforts to remove an Albury skier with a broken leg from Mount Bogong.
The man, 44, suffered the injury after falling on the peak on Tuesday night.
The man phoned emergency services about 6pm Tuesday and a police search and rescue crew attended from Melbourne and reached the visitor at 5am Wednesday.
Poor weather conditions have meant the man is unable to be winched from the mountain.
Rescue crews, including paramedics, are expected to stretcher him out on Wednesday.

A MAN is expected to be assisted down from Mount Bogong on Wednesday after falling on the peak on Tuesday night.
The man phoned emergency services about 6pm Tuesday and a police search and rescue crew attended from Melbourne.
He had injured himself after falling on Victoria's highest mountain.
Police stayed with him and his friend in a hut on Tuesday night and he was expected to be walked out of the mountain on Wednesday.
Police media were unable to give the man's age or hometown.
