Midfielder Daine Porter was reported by field umpire Brendan Schutt in the fourth quarter for striking Corowa-Rutherglen’s Damien Wilson on Saturday.
While his teammate Zack Leitch was reported by field umpires Schutt and Beau Withers in the third quarter for charging Corowa-Rutherglen’s Chris Marshall.
The Roos lost Hayden Singe in the first quarter with a hamstring injury, but it mattered little as they powered to a 37-point win.
It was the Roos’ fifth win of the season and second in a row after their triumph over Myrtleford in round 15.
“It was good to have back to back wins,” coach Bryce Campbell said.
“When the game got tough, we stood up.
“We let them back in and the third quarter we came out and played pretty well.”
The Roos travel to Birallee Park to face the Raiders this week, while the Magpies host Wodonga.
