United topped both competitions, while the Falcons squeezed past the Magpies by one goal in the men's tournament.
United's team balance will prove an important factor against Falcons striker Charley Wallace.
Bragging rights belong to United, but a 3-1 victory to Falcons in the last regular season game could have the Orange army up and dancing.
Two six-goal outings in the past two games, including five to Wallace, sends an ominous message that any avenue left open for attack by United will result in a score.
United’s Tim Jones has 19 goals for the season, including five against the Falcons. United also have a goal difference of +51, more than 56 ahead of Falcons.
United playing coach David Foster said the side's good lead-in and the A-grade performances of the club had been important.
“It's a good thing having the score on the board for consistency, and all the boys are feeling extremely confident.”
On a day where conditions are set to be fast and dry, Foster says he wants nothing more than the best from his players.
“If we feel we've given it our all, and played at 110 per cent, it's a win. Not just for the seniors, but all other teams as well.”
John Jewell has more than 40 years of coaching experience under his belt, and says he's very happy to see his Falcons side in the finals.
“We set the goal at the start of the year of making finals and trying to win one. Sunday is just a bonus.”
Jewell says the regular season can't compare to such a special day.
“Once you get to a grand final, it's a whole different ball game.
“I want the players to take the opportunity and give a good account of themselves.”
The Albury-Wodonga Hockey 8's Charity Tournament will return in October to the Border.
With eight teams of eight players each, the event will help raise money for local charities and junior development.
