Father and son duo Gino and Mark Stocco are two of Australia’s most wanted men, with police in several states trying to track them down over a range of offences for eight years.

The men were last seen filling up with petrol in Euroa in the stolen car about 6.30pm on Monday before heading north.

Police believe they were responsible for a shooting during a police pursuit at Mangoplah about 2pm Friday.

Officers attempted to pull over a Nissan utility which sped off, and a bullet was fired in the front grill of the police vehicle.

A second police car was shot at a short time later.

The offenders dumped the car near the Hume Highway and Tumbarumba Road, and went to ground. 

The Stoccos appear to have resurfaced at Little Billabong, targeting Paul Rogers’ white Toyota Landcruiser overnight on Sunday.

here was a confirmed sighting of the vehicle and the men at a Euroa service station about 6.30pm on Monday. 

Mr Rogers noticed the vehicle missing on Monday morning and believes they had been laying low in a creek bed and looking for a target.

Two cans of Solo and a loaf of frozen bread were also stolen from his Four Mile Lane property.

He believes a neighbouring property had also been targeted Sunday afternoon.

“I filled up both tanks of fuel on (Sunday) night, (so) they’ve got two full tanks of fuel,” he said.

“I happened to leave my wallet in there overnight so I’ve lost my wallet and cards.”

Mr Rogers lives at the property with his wife Nola and has been left concerned by the ordeal.

Police tried to fingerprint his home and sheds on Monday but are believed to have been unsuccessful.

“I don’t own a gun,” he said.  

“I’m not into guns and I didn’t have a dog to bark.

Mr Rogers suspects the duo had probably been watching over his property for days.

Police say the Stoccos should not be approached under any circumstances. 

Greater Hume Shire mayor Heather Wilton said people were on the lookout for the duo, who police say should be considered “armed and dangerous”. 

“The community is vigilant and a bit concerned, but I don't think they need to be overly worried,” she said. 

“I think that's how most people would feel.

“Everybody is on the lookout and I think they know what they need to do.” 

She urged people against approaching or confronting the men.

“If anyone sees anything suspicious I think they need to contact police,” Cr Wilton said. 

“I feel uneasy, but we can't allow people like that to ruin our lives.

“We've got to carry on, be vigilant and do not confront.” 

Mr Rogers said he had heard the duo may have been heading to the Corryong region, which could not be confirmed. 

Albury police Inspector David Cottee said police had not confirmed any links between the men and Albury.

Strike Force Kalkadoon has been formed to manage the search and investigation and a large number officers are involved. 

The stolen vehicle is a white 2013 Toyota Landcruiser with distinctive white bull bars.

It has a 145 litre fuel tank and NSW registration plates BV70WP.
