LOCKED UP: Bowe Maddigan was led into a police divisional van by officers after appearing on a murder charge in the Wangaratta Magistrates Court on Thursday, to be transferred to Melbourne on remand.
THE mother of the Mildura man accused of murdering and sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl said she was "disgusted" by the news.

Colleen Maddigan said her heart went out to Zoe Buttigieg’s family.
"This little girl has been taken away from her family and we don't know why," she said.
"To her family, I want to express my support... very much so."
Ms Maddigan said her son Bowe had moved to Melbourne a number of years ago and she could not recall the last time she had seen him.
The grandmother-of-15, who found out about the charges on Facebook, said she wanted to express her condolences to Zoe's family.
"I'm hurting, I wish I could go and hold them," Ms Maddigan said.
"I don't know what to do now."
