Witnesses reported a man aged in his 40s and a man in his 50s who were arguing outside a butcher, next to Westpac, at 12.30pm October 3.
The younger man called the older man a paedophile who responded by saying “you ought to talk, you just got out of jail”.
In response, the man in his 40s punched the man he was arguing with, causing him to fall backwards into the butcher’s doorway.
There was no damage to the business and the man who fell had a small cut on his hand.
Anyone who witnessed the assault is urged to contact First Constable Petia Grear on 02 6049 2600.
