EARLIER: THE hotel industry has rallied around the SS&A Club following news of Tim Levesque’s accident.
Speaking at an emotional press conference as Mr Levesque remained on life support, assistant manager Gerard Darmody said the club had been buoyed by support.
“The industry has reached out at this stage and is trying to help us,” he said.
“It’s just a true indication of his personality and the effect he’s had over his time in the industry.
“We’re very grateful for their support.”
Several SS&A staff members and managers visited Mr Levesque at hospital on Tuesday and his family have been by his side.
“Several people from the club have been there overnight and throughout the day,” Mr Darmody said.
“We’re there to support the family and the kids, and each other, through the next phase.”
President Eddie Dunlop said people needed to stay strong for Mr Levesque and his family.
