The incident occurred at Beer Deluxe on Kiewa Street between two Friday night revellers after 12.50am.
Acting Inspector Gary Lewis said the 21-year-old men, from Lavington and Jindera, were known to each other.
“An altercation has taken place during which the victim was struck with a glass to the face,” he said.
“The victim attended Albury Hospital for treatment to a minor wound to the left side of his neck.”
A patron said the venue closed early, with hundreds of people forced onto the street after the music was cut off and the lights turned on about 2am.
Police attended the venue.
Acting Inspector Lewis said the Jindera man later handed himself in to police.
He was interviewed and charged with reckless wounding.
The man is due to appear at Albury Local Court on February 9.
