Terry Watson will facilitate the six-week course focusing on teaching children how to stop and think before acting.
Wodonga Council youth services team leader Rachel Habgood said it broke down misconceptions about self-defence.
“It involves everything from playgrounds to things like if you smell smoke in the house – what do you do then?,” she said.

Classes run from 6pm Wednesday at the Belgrade Community Centre between February 10 to March 16.
