Cricket Albury-Wodonga chairman Mick Erdeljac said it was a unanimous decision by the board for the Bulldogs to retain the decider.
“It’s been run successfully there for the past couple of years and we are very happy with the facilities,” he said.
“It’s looking like we’ll have a warm March and the set-up there at Les Cheesley for spectators with the shade is just fantastic.
“It’s a big event to run and Wodonga have shown they can do it very well.”
Tallangatta beat East Albury in last season’s grand final at Les Cheesley Oval, a year after the Bulldogs edged St Patrick’s in a rain-affected decider.
The Provincial second grade grand final will be played at Xavier Oval, while Kiewa is the venue for the District first grade decider with second grade to play at Bethanga.
Erdeljac said C grade and junior grand final venues would be finalised once the make-up of teams involved was clear.
The 2015-16 Provincial competition is one of the most evenly-contested in the past decade.
Wodonga, Tallangatta and Belvoir could all still finish on top of the ladder while St Patrick’s, North Albury, Lavington and Albury are fighting it out for the remaining three finals spots.
“If Albury get the runs against Lavington this weekend, four sides can still fall out going into the final round,” he said.
“It’s a huge finals series coming up.
“It’s fantastic for the competition.”
He said there would be a meeting of club captains and coaches in the lead-up to the first week of finals “just to ensure everyone is clear on the rules so no mistakes are made”.
Meanwhile, Tallangatta must quickly turn its attention from Saturday’s top-of-the-table clash against Wodonga to tackling Sorrento in the Cricket Victoria Regional Big Bash.
The Bushies are representing North East Country in the competition and if they down the Mornington Peninsula outfit on Sunday, they will play either Gisborne or Doutta Stars in the final at the MCG.
The match starts at 1pm and Tallangatta will be hoping to ride Cricket Albury-Wodonga’s wave of representative success at Rowen Park.
The Border Bullets – along with Bushies stars Trent Ball and Matt Armstrong – won the Cricket NSW Regional Bash at the SCG in December.
