It was great to see Alex Takle bowl a decent length for a change and get the rewards.
- Adam I'Anson
Takle (3-23) and Koschitzke (3-25) struck early to have the Swans 6-36 and the visitors never recovered as they were bundled out for 114.
Brocklesby replied with 166 thanks to solid knocks from Adam I’Anson (54), Koschitzke (26), Kylin Morey (24) and Joel Hartley (23).
I’Anson said Takle and Koschitzke set up the win in the opening 15 overs.
“They put us on top early bowling in tandem,” I’Anson said.
“It was great to see Alex Takle bowl a decent length for a change and get the rewards.
“Keeping Burrum to 114 was a good effort by the boys.”
Two of Takle’s wickets were caught by wicket-keeper Matt Gadd and the other by first slip Morey.
Jacob Pettifer (32), Greg Tallent (19) and Eddy Ziebarth (24 not out) made solid contributions for Burrumbuttock.
In the other match, Balldale veteran Doug Lavis made 95 in his team’s comfortable win over Walla.
The Magpies made 7-194 and their opponents replied with 134.
