Doctor Seuss characters have appeared on Thurgoona Drive as a protest against the clearing of bush beside Fairway Gardens.

The person behind the cut-outs, who wanted to stay anonymous, said she was “horrified” by the clearing of about six acres of bush.
Thurgoona resident Bill McRae also contacted The Border Mail with concerns about the impact on wildlife.
“The demolition of most of the trees at the entrance to Fairway Gardens is something you may expect in a third world country,” he said.
“This large standing of trees was a home for birds and other wildlife and presented as part of a wildlife corridor.”
The Border Mail understands the site has been cleared for further housing development.
