After bowling 33 overs straight from the southern end of Les Cheesley Oval to finish with the outstanding figures of 6-44, Jaensch was a clear choice for the Gary Williamson Medal as player of the match.
Jaensch is an experienced finals campaigner after playing in flags for Barooga and Nathalia but said it was special to play in Belvoir’s first Provincial premiership.
“I’m on top of the world,” he said.
“It’s amazing what painkillers can do.
“It’s great to help Belvoir win its first Provincial flag and to win it with Drew Cameron, my best mate for the last 15 years, makes it more special.
“We really came good in the second half of the year and we grew an extra leg the last couple of weeks in the finals.
“To keep Wodonga to 118 on a pretty flat wicket was a great effort by all the bowlers.”
