The teenager has yet to drop a game in division one of the Melbourne Pennants, after four rounds, with her club Commonwealth.
Closer to home, Madison was crowned Wodonga Golf Club's youngest ever Ladies Club Champion on the weekend after beating Judy Langford by five strokes.
She said she had a great respect for Langford and a friendly rivalry.
“I was really really nervous, as I always am, I got off to a bit of a shaky start,” Madison said.
“Judy had a birdie on the first hole and I had a bogey, so having a two shot swing was a bit nerve racking.
“Dad was on the bags the whole day and tried to keep me cool, calm and collected, and I played well on the back nine and found out I won.
“I lost by a shot last year to Judy, she had a six shot lead going into the last round and I managed to pick up five.”
Wodonga Golf Club PGA golf professional and Madison's coach Mandy Buchanan said Madison had worked hard on her game and it was showing in her results.
“In the last 12 months her handicap has dropped from six to two,” she said.
“She works really hard, is a great kid and is a really great ambassador for us here at the Wodonga Golf Club.
“Her short game's really good, she really focuses on that.”
Madison started playing golf five years ago, she said she got tired of playing basketball and her dad suggested she try golf.
“I gave it a crack and turned out to be quite good at it,” she said.
Going head to head against her dad, Madison said she would usually come out on top.
“But he doesn't get to play around much now because he’s out running after me,” she said with a laugh.
Madison joined the Commonwealth Golf Club team in Melbourne last year which finished third in the pennant after a strong finish.
She said she hoped the team would win the series this year.
Beyond that, Madison is busy juggling schoolwork at Trinity Anglican College and her sport commitments.
She said one day she hoped to make a Victorian representative team.
“But it’s a long time until I get to the end of school so anything could happen,” Madison said.
The younger guard of male Border golfers also duked it out on the weekend for the Wodonga Men’s Club Championships.
In the end Ben Hollands beat Daniel Gill, 14, in a three hole-play off after Daniel got a 30 metre birdie from a bunker on his last hole to force a playoff.
