The Border side was brought undone by a 64th-minute turnover against North Geelong, but failed to capitalise on a number of scoring opportunities of their own.
Coutts said the side needed to be less reliant on star strikers Zac Walker and Geoffry Lino.
“We've been up there with the best of them in our last three matches, but unfortunately the league table doesn't reflect that,” he said.
“We should have scored at least three goals against North Geelong, we had some very good chances.
“The boys are creating a lot of those chances themselves, but we've spoken about being less reliant on Zac and Geoffry.

In a positive note, Ryan Giles made it through his first game of the season, and Alex West is a chance to return for the home clash against Melbourne City.
