The final field was released on Tuesday morning with Waller’s trio spearheading a quality field.
Waller has the top weight Index Linked, Moriarty and Dance Of Heroes, to be ridden by Glyn Schofield, Tye Angland and Tim Clark respectively.
The Hawkes stable have Messene, with Blake Shinn on board, while James Cummings will have his Gold Cup runner with Reigning.
Four Wagga stayers also made the field with High Opinion, Jo Jo Girl, Video Show and Mr Sommerville all set for starts.
MTC chief executive Scott Sanbrook is delighted with the Cup field.
“The field for the Cup is outstanding,” Sanbrook said.
“It’s terrific to have the biggest stables in Australia represented but it’s also a great boost to the locals to have a few of them who are going to be competitive in the race.”
The Cup will be run at 4.10pm on Friday.
