Two own goals didn’t help their cause, but Boomers’ spread of offensive options proved to be too much to handle.
Pieter Noordewier, Adam Campbell, Du Phan and Fraser Tresize all found the back of the net, while Noah Spiteri also provided a dangerous presence.
Boomers coach Andrew Grove said the win was the perfect setup for their big clash against Cobram next week.
“We had a little hiccup with the draw against Diamonds a few weeks back, but we’ve been playing some good football since then,” he said.
“We’ve found a structure that we’re feeling comfortable with, and our younger players have gotten their first few senior games out of the way and found a bit of confidence.
“Facing Cobram away next weekend will be a big test for us.”
