The Bulls ran in 12 tries to one to inflict the biggest loss of the season on Mick Raynes’ side at Jarrah Oval.
Although the home team put plenty of points on the board, coach Daniel Dowson was more impressed by the team’s defensive effort.
“It was a bit scary there for the first 15-20 minutes of the second half when they really put it to us and we were hard on our line and having to defend,” Dowson said.
“They boys got through it and got back on attack.
“It was a good game.
“It wasn’t easy and they made it hard for us at times, but we stuck to our structure, stuck to our game plan and it came off from that.”
The loss leaves the Steamers with a win, draw and six losses in a dramatic fall from grace.
Waratahs defeated Wagga City 40-28, Leeton brought down Ag College 22-0 and Griffith accounted for CSU.
