The Tawonga South man described himself as a “people person” who already had several policies drawn up.
Mr Mull said he had considered politics for years but felt now was the right time to run as an independent Senate candidate for Victoria.
“The disenchantment with the major parties by almost everybody I’ve come across has reached a point where I now have the time and commitment to put myself forward,” Mr Mull said.
“My policies are practical, workable and I put them forward with vision and commitment – we haven't had leaders in this country with vision for a long time.
“I'm not beholden to any party polices, I will represent the majority – because that’s what I'd be elected to do.”
He is set to run a self-funded campaign looking at issues including taxation, farming, overseas aid and over-regulation of small to medium business.
