Fraser Cullen and coach Jeremy Payne scored for the Spitfires in a 2-1 victory over Ballarat in the final in Melbourne.
Ballarat had moved through the tournament undefeated after beating the Border outfit 2-1 on Saturday.
“It was really hard-fought,” Payne said.
Dom Wild had a strong weekend for the Spitfires and is likely to be one of a handful of players to come under consideration for Victorian Country selection.
Albury-Wodonga sits fifth on the Capital League table and faces a crunch clash against fourth-placed Central when it resumes on June 25.
The Strikers also had a strong tournament in Melbourne, moving through the preliminary stages undefeated, before losing the final to Geelong on penalties.
Albury-Wodonga’s veteran men’s team scored a 1-0 victory in its decider.
