HotHouse Theatre artistic director Lyn Wallis told The Border Mail the panel discussion was a fitting precursor to the stage production, which explores the relationship the artist Picasso had with his dachshund, Lump.
“A HotSpot is a night preceding every show that we do, to discuss the ideas and themes in the play,” she said.
“We have great food, wine and guest speakers who will talk to the ideas in the show.”
Wallis will be joined by Picasso and his Dog director Sarah Kriegler, La Trobe University psychology professor Pauleen Bennett and Gateway Health’s Kat Bennett.
Dr Bennett specialises in the human-animal exchange, while Ms Bennett teaches yoga as part of a component of an equine therapy program.
