The home side trailed by 11 heading into the final quarter, but rotation players Darcy Harding and Sawyer Dearborn stepped up in the final quarter, alongside Clay McMath, to ultimately hand the Bandits an 11-point win.
Harding, who recently signed to the Sydney Kings’ development team, played his most complete game as import Greg Mays struggled to make an impact.
The Sydney-bound forward fouled out late in the final quarter after dropping 18 points, seven rebounds and two assists.
“I’m pleased with the resolve, and that started from our bench guys kickstarting it,” coach Brad Chalmers said.
“I want some of these guys to take the bull by the horns and show some of these stars how it’s done.
“Darcy was good at both ends, his physicality was really good.”
