After graduating from the CMAA Junior Academy of Country Music last week, Tumut’s Rory Phillips declared “I found my tribe.”
The nine-year-old musician attended workshops and concerts in Tamworth to develop his skills.
“He just loved it,” Rory’s mother, Sam Phillips, said.
“He came away feeling so inspired.”
Rory, the youngest member of the group, participated in the instrumental course on lead guitar.
Rory is learning how to read chord charts and planning his next musical move.
The week culminated in a series of performances, including opening for country music superstar Adam Harvey during his charity gig in Tamworth.
