At 11.44am the Rural Fire Service (RFS) responded to a Winnebago well alight on Stockinbingal Road, near the property ‘Pevensey’.
The vehicle had been travelling towards Stockinbingal when it caught fire.
A passing member of the RFS spotted the flames and called it into authorities.
The South West Slopes Headquarters reported the driver suffered a small burn to his hands and was treated at the scene by paramedics.
There were no other injuries and the fire did not spread. The Winnebago was severely damaged. It is understood the driver was able to recover a number of items from inside the van before it was engulfed.
One lane of traffic was closed and remained that way until the vehicle was recovered.
