Corowa will take on West Albury in the Cup grand final this Sunday at their home ground.
The burgeoning competition is in just its third season, but Corowa coach Brendon Compton is hoping it gets bigger and better after this season.
“It's a big game for us, West Albury are a strong attacking side,” he said.
“We'll be the underdogs.
“They'll be hard to beat, but if our defence can hold on then we're a good chance.
“We're in our third year of competition now, it's a short season as we try and build the league.
“The rules are a little bit different, it makes the game a little bit safer, it's good for people who are looking to get into the game for the first time.
“That doesn't mean it isn't a hard, tough game.
“West Albury have done some great things in recruiting a lot of Indigenous kids, we just want to get as many people involved as we can.”
Kickoff for the Murray Cup grand final is at 1:30, and the final will be preceded by the league tag at midday.
We'd be the underdogs going into it, West Albury are going to be hard to beat.
