Former Albury Thunder player Lou Goodwin has signed a contract with the Canberra Raiders after winning the final of The NRL Rookie. The Raiders and the Gold Coast Titans both offered Goodwin, a West Wyalong junior, a contract after he was announced the winner ahead of Chris Hyde and Jordan Martin in Sydney on Tuesday night. Goodwin said he felt “excited and relieved” after being named the winner. “I’ve got a good journey ahead of me, I’ve just got to knuckle down and get stuck into it,” Goodwin said.
