A 59-year-old man, who had been cross-country skiing with an outdoor adventure group, became stranded near Heathy Spur mid-morning.
Falls Creek Sergeant Charlie Duncan said the man sustained a back injury and was immobile.
“Ambulance Victoria, SES and Victoria Police went out to bring him in from Bogong High Plains,” he said.
“Weather conditions were extreme, visibility was 100 metres max and there were low temperatures with a snow blizzard.”
A second incident happened about 4pm when a student, who had been visiting from Geelong, became ill.
The 15-year-old boy was with his school group at Watchbed Creek when they requested help.
Sergeant Duncan said the boy had an accelerated heart beat and a high body temperature. He was taken to the Falls Creek Medical Centre.
