Wodonga man Dylan Leitch, 21, will now be without his car for two years and has been fined more than what the vehicle is worth.
The apprentice baker came to the attention of police when they seized someone’s mobile phone over an unrelated police pursuit.
Officers discovered multiple videos of Leitch performing early morning burnouts on five occasions while he was on holidays.
In one incident on Wagga Road on January 16, a friend hung outside one of the windows of his 2000 model Holden Commodore Calais as he skidded in the shape of a figure eight.
The vehicle crossed the lanes of the road and sparks flew from the rear rims after the tyres burst.
Pieces of tyre were flung across the road and police facts noted there had been an “extreme risk of death or serious injury” to the man seen hanging out of the car.
There were similar incidents on Wagga Road on January 2, 9 and 30, and on Fallon Street on January 10.
Someone can be heard on the video filmed on January 2 shouting “go Leitchy” as smoke poured from the rear wheels.
Leitch had been asked by police who had been driving his car during the incidents and he confessed.
Magistrate Tony Murray told Albury Local Court on Tuesday police may have had trouble identifying him had he not assisted.
The probationary driver hadn't had his licence for long when he performed the burnouts.
He had been charged with a string of driving offences.
Mr Murray fined Leitch $3200, banned him from driving in NSW for two years and placed him on an 18-month bond.
