Wodonga mum Kim Reid said she was left waiting on a cold platform at Southern Cross Station with her two-year-old daughter for an hour and a half while V/Line fixed a “mechanical fault” with the train.

When they finally boarded, it was without a working buffet car for passengers to get dinner.

Ms Reid said it was doubtful she would risk using the train for any future trips.
