MURRAY LEAGUE | Nathalia win back-to-back premierships after defeating Finley Cats

NATHALIA broke the hearts on Finley fans when they defeated the Cats 11.11.77 to 11.8.74 in the Murray League grand final on Saturday.

The Cats led by 14 at the final change, but were held goalless in the final quarter as the Purples charged home.

They booted three goals to just two behinds in the final term to win the premiership by the same margin they did last year, when they defeated Moama.

Nathalia’s Brett Vallender won the AFL Victoria medal for best on ground.
