Market partner TAFCO chairman Allan McGuffie said the Victorian Farmers’ Markets Association accredited market drew producers from within 100 kilometres of Myrtleford.
“Local producers have embraced the Victorian Farmers’ Markets Associations accreditation to ensure that no re-sellers or re-packagers are allowed,” he said.
“The community will be able to speak directly with the producer at the Myrtleford Farmers’ Market.”
Market co-ordinator Franca Norris said regular stallholders have signed up.
“We are looking forward to have a great diversity of product on offer including traditional primary producers and specialty producers using local ingredients,” she said.
Myrtleford Farmers’ Market ambassador Patrizia Simone will cook with Melbourne restaurateur Rosa Mitchell.
The market runs from 8am until 12.30pm.
