Matthew Tymms, 24, is accused of being involved in an extensive North East meth ring worth $5 million to $10 million.
It’s alleged he was found with 44 grams of ice, with a possible street value of up to $44,000, in Box Hill North on Thursday morning.
Officers had responded to reports of an incident in Loddon Street in the Melbourne suburb.
Police attended the scene and found Tymms in a car that had been reversed into a driveway about 1.15am.
A search found the drugs and he was charged with trafficking.
The 24-year-old appeared before court in Melbourne and was further bailed to next month.
It’s alleged he had also breached bail by living in the city instead of his home at Bobinawarrah.
Tymms will next return to court in Melbourne on October 20.
