With 370 millimetres of rain recorded in Albury since July, chairman Michael Erdeljac said most grounds were water logged.
“A lot of work was put in by the curators and two of the grounds were right to play and the other three wickets were playable but due to the rain over the past six weeks the outfields just aren’t safe,” Erdeljac said.
“We have a lot of elite sportspeople playing cricket so we decided not to play.
“We are now working through the process of working out where and when these matches will be played.”
Depending on ground availability, officials could reschedule the opening two rounds of Twenty20 matches for Saturday and Sunday next weekend.
Another dilemma facing CAW is Kiewa, Willow Park, Emerald Oval and Baranduda being out of action.
The district competition is set to start next weekend.
