Up to 50 exhibitors from the Border, North East and Wagga took part in the weekend’s Inland Championship hosted by Albury-Wodonga & District Orchid Club.
Mitta Valley grower Chris Godde won the show’s grand champion, with Albury’s Geoff Melton reserve champion, while Table Top couple Jenny and Keith Kilo claimed the champion display.
Mr Kilo, who is also club president, said there was a great variety of orchid types, although the number of plants was down.
“It has been a difficult flowering year with the lack of sunshine,” he said. “We’re very, very pleased anyway, considering the season.”
