It will be the German discount supermarket chain's fourth Albury-Wodonga store and create 15 to 20 full-time and part-time jobs.
The supermarket, on the corner of Victoria Cross Parade and Wark Street, will be in addition to stores in Albury, Wodonga and Lavington.
The business has more than 400 stores across Australia.
A spokeswoman said the new store would feature redesigned shelving, expanded produce bays and energy efficient chillers.
The company hopes special buys only available at the White Box Rise store will help draw in customers.
The supermarket will be open from 8.30am to 8pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday.
